Membership orientations are held regularly on Sunday afternoons following morning worship.  Lunch and childcare are both included at no charge.  The entire orientation lasts from 12:00 pm – 2:30 pm.

Easter 2010 was off the charts!  A few highlights:

• Saw a 71% jump from our average attendance!
• Four people prayed to receive Christ.
• 63 families filled out Connection Cards.
• The largest single Sunday attendance in Coffee Creek's history!
  

2010 is already looking like a great year of growth for Coffee Creek – you can play your part in keeping the momentum up by investing and inviting the people in your life to experience Jesus at Coffee Creek!

Jesus once said that of all the commands in the Bible only two are most important. Love God with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself.

On Easter Sunday, our Coffee Creek community will begin a six-week focus on those two commands. That’s when we will come together for Loving Like Jesus. With conflict, divorce, violence, prejudice, abuse, division, and polarization around us daily, it’s obvious we all need some lessons in building healthy relationships, and that’s what Loving Like Jesus is all about.

The “Buckets of Hope” ministry is just one means by which Baptists can fulfill the mandate of Jesus Christ to feed the hungry in the name of Jesus. As we are reminded in Matthew 25:40, Jesus tells us, "And the King shall answer and say unto them, 'Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.'" (KJV)

A “Bucket of Hope” consists of a plastic five-gallon bucket packed with selected foodstuffs. For approximately $30 anyone can purchase the materials and assemble a "Bucket of Hope." The food contained in a single bucket will feed a Haitian family for a week. You are also requested to include a $10 cash contribution, placed in an envelope and attached to the lid of the bucket, to offset the cost of transporting the relief buckets to Haiti. (Note from Ricki Otey: Ace Hardware on Kelly and Danforth does have a few of the all white buckets and lids.  The lid and bucket together run about $7.00. )

Buckets must be packed with a specific list of food items inside. Please follow the detailed instructions  carefully. This will ensure that every bucket quickly passes through customs and into the hands of the Haitian people.  Buckets are due at Coffee Creek Baptist Church NO LATER than Sunday, March 7th @ 10:30 am.

On Sunday February 7th, 140 million Americans will tune in to the Super Bowl football game.  There will be parties with abundant food, friendship and fellowship. At the same time, there will be people worrying about staying warm, finding shelter and a warm meal. 

Please join young people around the country as they demonstrate God’s love by loving their neighbors through the Souper Bowl of Caring.  It’s a simple, yet significant act of caring for others.  Drop $1 (or more) in the soup pot as you leave worship on February 7th.  Those who need help may not know that you cared, but God will. And our young people are developing hearts for giving that can last a lifetime.  Please support their efforts.
